Umbrella Policy

Your Personal Umbrella Policy should include enough protection for all your assets, including your home, valuables, and earning capacity.

Bodily Injury: Medical costs, loss of income and funeral expenses of other people involved in an accident

Personal Injury: False arrest, invasion of privacy, libel, slander, humiliation or defamation of another person’s character.

Property Damage: Physical destruction of someone else’s property, including the resulting loss of it’s use.

What happens next?

  1. If needed, we can provide referrals for assistance with temporary repairs such as boarding up windows,

  2. We will evaluate damages and prepare an estimate.

  3. We go over your policy with you to explain which coverage and limits apply.

  4. We choose your repair vendor together.

  5. We wrap up your claim by answering questions you have and providing payment where appropriate.

  • Contacting Liberty as soon as possible can help speed up the claim process. Even if you don’t have all the information, you can always provide us with additional details later.

  • Taking an inventory of your belongings before anything happens can be very useful in verifying what you have and what it’s worth.

  • Once the repair process begins, further damages could be found. If this happens, call your Liberty claim representative, who will arrange to investigate the newly found damages. Sometimes there is no need for us to physically inspect the damge and an additional payment, up to the policy limit, can be issued right away.

  • When you disagree with our evaluation of damages, please contact your representative. We strive to always settle claims as fairly as possible.

  • If you have a mortgage on your property, the mortgage holder is usually included on your policy along with your name. Most mortgage companies require that claims payment checks include the name of the mortgage holder.
